If pings do not successfully traverse the device, try the following
operations.

Trace the packet flow and check whether ARP or ICMP packets are getting dropped.

Trace which direction is failing by using interface statistics.

Locate the device that is dropping the packets.

Look for any error counters incrementing on that device.

Check the MAC address table to
determine whether the MAC addresses are learned on the correct port or port-channel:

Enter the show ip route command, which will indicate what MAC
address to look for.

Enter the show arp vrf command.
-
Enter the show mac-address-table
command to verify that the MAC address table learns new values.
