Assign Licenses

Use the License page to link the venue account to the Extreme Licensing Portal and to assign license capacity for a venue.

Note

  • Only administrators who have the License permission can view and use the License page.

  • Administrators with the License permission can access venue licensing information based on the user type of the administrator. For example, an administrator at the Customer level can view and update licensing for all venues under that customer whereas an administrator at the Venue level can view and update licensing for a specific venue only.

  • To assign license capacity, you must have purchased licenses already.

  • To link the venue account to the Extreme Licensing Portal, you need a user account with sign in access to the portal.

Contact your Extreme Networks representative if you need help with any of these requirements.

  1. Click the Business Insights navigation menu and select License.
  2. If the venue status displays Account not linked do the following to link the account to ExtremeCloud IQ:
    1. Click Link to Extreme Portal.
    2. Sign in to the Extreme Licensing Portal using credentials for a user account that has access to the portal.
      After the linkage is complete, the venue status displays Account linked within Business Insights.
  3. In the Business Insights interface, assign license capacity by editing the Capacity setting for the venue.
  4. Click Update.
