XCO supports pure IPv6 mode where nodes are configured only with IPv6 addresses on their interfaces.
XCO installer supports IPv4, IPv6, and Dual mode IP deployments. The following table describes the installer changes during installation on both the suites:
Note
Fabric suite does not support pure IPv6 mode.Suite Selected | Modes | Installer changes |
---|---|---|
Fabric | IPv4 | No longer asks for optional IPv6 address. For example, Virtual IPv6. Optional sub-interface IPv6 subnet |
IPv6 | Installation exits or asks for restart with an appropriate error shown | |
Dual | No changes from previous releases | |
Packet | IPv4 | Skips asking optional IPv6 address |
IPv6 | All inputs on IPv6 address | |
Dual | No changes from previous releases |
