Accesses connector configuration mode for the 40G and 100G port on the fixed form factor SLX.

Syntax

connector slot/port

Parameters

slot/port: Specifies a valid slot and port number. For devices that do not support line cards (the fixed form factor SLX) specify 0 for the slot.

Usage Guidelines

Once in connector configuration mode, you can break out the port into four 10G ports using the breakout mode command.

You must shut down the port or ports to be configured before using this command.

The following example shows the commands to access the connector configuration mode for a 40G port.

device (config)# interface ethernet 0/1
device (config)# shutdown
