logging syslog-client

Configure various parameters used by syslog clients.

Syntax

logging syslog-client localip CHASSIS_IP

CHASSIS_IP: Uses the Chassis IP address as source IP address in the IP header of syslog messages generated by this device.

Global configuration mode

Example command for using the chassis IP as the source IP in the IP header of syslog messages, generated by this device.

device# configure terminal
device(config)# logging syslog-client localip CHASSIS_IP
