Extreme Networks switches fit into standard 19-inch equipment racks.
A four-post rack-mounting kit is provided with the switch. A two-post kit can be ordered separately.
The provided rack-mounting brackets attach to the front of the switch and are adaptable to either a front-mount or mid-mount installation. Optional rear-mounting brackets are also included for four-post racks or cabinets
The installation process includes the following tasks:

| 5 | Install Internal Power Supplies | Install one or two power supplies if your switch does not come with an installed internal power supply. |
| 6 | Connect the Switches to Form the Stack Ring | Connect stacking cables for a stacked configuration. |
| 7 | Connect Network Interface Cables | Connect network interface cables. |
| 8 | Turn on the Switch | Power up the switch. |
| 9 | Activate and Verify the Switch | Perform initial network connection and configuration. |
