Configure LAG Ports

Use this optional procedure to configure Link Aggregation Group (LAG) interfaces on Universal Compute Platform.
  1. Go to Administration > System > Network Setup.
  2. To aggregate data ports, under L2 Ports, assign data ports to each LAG interface that you want to configure:
    1. For LAG1, select each data port from the Member Ports of LAG column that you want to add to this LAG.
    2. For LAG2, select each data port from the Member Ports of LAG column that you want to add to this LAG.
    3. Select Save and then select OK.
The LAG interface inherits the VLAN assignments automatically from newly added port members.
  3. To aggregate the ICC ports, under ICC Interfaces, select LAG.
  4. Complete the LAG interface configuration for each new LAG interface:
    1. Under Interfaces, select the new LAG interface.
    2. Configure the interface settings. For more information, see Create New Interface Settings.
    3. Select Save.
  5. For the switch that connects to this LAG interface, follow your switch documentation to configure the following:
    1. Enable LACP LAG on the switch. The switch's LAG configuration must include only the ports that connect directly to the Universal Compute Platform LAG ports.
    2. Set the switch's LACP LAG timer to be 30 seconds.

What to do Next

Make sure that static LAG is enabled on any applications that run on this Universal Compute Platform host that intend to use the LAG interface or its port members. The application's LAG settings must use the same port members as the host appliance. Refer to your application documentation for application-specific information.
