Creating a Script File

A script file is an ASCII text file that you can create with any ASCII text editor program. The text file can contain CLI commands and can use the scripting options described in the following sections:

Using Script Variables
Using Special Characters in Scripts
Using Operators
Using Control Structures in Scripts
Using Built-In Functions

You can move an ASCII script file to the switch using the same techniques described for managing ASCII configuration files in Software Upgrade and Boot Options.
