Header modification actions are performed as specified at ingress and at egress.
Based on configuration settings in the route map or the access list (ACL), when a packet is received by the application, it is evaluated against those settings and actions are performed. Ingress policy actions are applied before those associated with an egress policy.
Header-modification actions include tag stripping, tag addition, and decapsulation. You specify header-modification actions in a listener policy, which is bound to an egress policy and refers to ACLs and packet-modification settings.
