Before you begin
Two important points:
- The AP3000X has two
integral antennas which cannot be removed. An integral antenna is
fixed to the AP and cannot be disconnected. It is also called a fixed
antenna or integrated antenna.
- The AP3000X comes with
two AI-DS0305360-RPSMA antennas which you can attach to the AP and use to
extend your coverage. Locate the 2 RPSMA dual banded 2.4/5 GHz antennas
which are shipped with the AP. You can also use any of the supported
antennas documented in the Supported Antenna section of Supported Accessories.
Note
Unlike with earlier APs, you do not need to order two AI-DS0305360-RPSMA antennas
seperately. They are included with the AP.

About this task
Connect the included antennas and adjust the antennas for maximum signal.
Procedure

Thread the antennas onto the
RP-SMA connector.

Torque the antennas to 5 in-pounds.

Twist all antennas so the bend opening is towards the radome.
Adjust the two 2.4/5 GHz antennas and the two permanently attached
antennas.

Rotate each antenna to the 45 or 90-degree position for maximum signal
strength.
