Status LED Activity and Light Sensor

Details about access point status LED activity and front face light sensor.

The light sensor is located in the front face of the access point but is not visibly marked. The status LED is located at the bottom of the access point and conveys the access point operational status for system power. Table 1. Status light activity
Status light color Activity Description
Green Steady The device has a Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points (CAPWAP) connection to ExtremeCloud IQ and is operating normally
Slow blinking The device has a CAPWAP connection to ExtremeCloud IQ, but is operating on 802.3af power instead of 802.3at power
Amber Steady The device is initializing, rebooting, or is running without a CAPWAP connection
Slow blinking The device has no CAPWAP connection to ExtremeCloud IQ, and is operating on 802.3af power instead of 802.3at power
Fast blinking The device is upgrading it's IQ Engine firmware
Dark None Power is off or the status indicator is disabled
