Enabling tunnel statistics

Procedure

Enter global configuration mode.
```
device# configure terminal
```
Use the interface command to enter interface configuration mode and configure a tunnel.
```
device(config)# interface tunnel 5
```
The range is from 1 through 1024.
Use the statistics command to enable statistics on the tunnel.
```
device(config-intf-tunnel-5)# statistics
```

The following example shows how to enable tunnel statistics.

Note

GRE tunnel statistics only counts traffic entering the GRE tunnel. Traffic egressing the GRE tunnel is not counted.

device# configure terminal
device (config)# interface tunnel 5
device(config-intf-tunnel-5)# statistics
