vSLX runs on Ubuntu Linux, installed on
an x86 server.
Note the following installation guidelines:
- The only supported Ubuntu version is Ubuntu Server
16.04.x LTS, which you can download from https://www.ubuntu.com/.
- You can either install Ubuntu as a clean installation or upgrade from a previous version.
- Include the OpenSSH server package in your installation.
- For detailed instructions, refer to
the Ubuntu website.
The top-level steps are as follows.

Create a bootable USB stick by using the Ubuntu ISO image. Click the following link for detailed instructions:

Boot your server from the USB stick and follow the instructions to install the Ubuntu distribution on the hard disk.

Log in with the user and password you created during installation, and verify that you have
sudo privileges.
