MCT strict mode
 
   
  The following figure illustrates a use case for MCT strict mode, followed by a sequence of events. 
  
 
	 Strict mode LD is enabled on the MCT 1 cluster client edge port (CCEP) interface that connects to the Client. 
	 
 
	 MCT strict mode
 
		 
		 
		  - MCT 1 generates LD PDUs. 
		  
  
		  - If the Client has the LAG interface configured to support LD, the Client drops the PDUs and there is no loop. 
		  
  
		  - If there is a misconfiguration, the Client floods the PDUs, reaching MCT 2. 
		  
  
		  - MCT 1 then identifies the interface information encoded in the PDUs, shutting down the interface on which the packets were generated.
