About this task
The breakout mode enables you to partition a high-speed
port into multiple low-speed ports to accommodate multiple data lanes at lower
bandwidths.
Procedure

Enter the global configuration
mode.
device# configure terminal

Enter the hardware configuration
mode.
device# (config)# hardware
device (config-hardware)#

Configure the required breakout
mode.
- 4x10g:
Partition a port into four 10G interfaces
- 4x25g:
Partition a port into four 25G interfaces
device (config-hardware)# breakout [ 4x10g | 4x25g ]
