Note
Close the bottom opening of the service panel when you have an access point on a riser. Otherwise water and debris collects in the panel and shortens it's life. Use a plastic or metal covering that's at least 0.050 inches thick.
Tip
The best practice is to use one part clear super glue and two parts epoxy to hold the service panel cover in place. This helps provide some resistance during pressure washing.Note
When installing the access point flat against a surface in a location that uses ice melt, the best practice is to apply an anti-seize material to the screws before attaching them to the access point metal base.Note
When you mount the AP on a riser with the metal "L" bracket only and not with a large metal sloping bracket, it is recommended that you add a 3mm-thick stainless steel washer between the “L” brackets and the riser on all of the anchors. The washer provides proper drainage during storms.
