Each 5720 Series switch operates with two replaceable internal power supply units that provide all of the power needed for the switch to operate. The power supply units must be a matched pair with the same power rating, such as 715W, for long term use. You can remove one power supply without interrupting the switch's operation. The 5720 Series can support an unmatched pair of power supply units when you are upgrading or downgrading to matched pair with a different power rating.
