AP5010 Features and Specifications

AP5010 access point features including hardware components and temperature specifications.

Access Point Features

The AP5010 access point has the following features:
  • One multicolor LED status light

For LED activity description, see Status LED Activity

  • One light sensor located at the top of the device
  • Two Ethernet ports - Eth0 and Eth1
Ethernet ports (ETH0 and ETH1) automatically negotiate full-duplex connections with the connecting device.
    • ETH0 is 5/2.5/1GE/100 with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
    • ETH1 is 2.5/1GE/100 with PoE power sourcing equipment (PSE)
These ports are auto-sensing and adjust to straight-through and crossover standard Cat6 or better Ethernet cables automatically. Cat5e cables are compatible, but Cat6 cables are recommended for optimal 5Gb Ethernet speed.

The access point receives power through an Ethernet connection to the ETH0 port from PSE that is compatible with the 802.3bt and 802.3at standards.

  • One USB port

Use the USB port to connect USB-based beacons such as iBeacon and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Remove the protective cover to access the USB port.

  • One micro USB console port
  • One reset button
  • One Kensington security slot

The best practice is to use the Kensington security slot for securing the device.
