Load Balancing

VXLAN allows networks to leverage Layer 3 ECMP to efficiently distribute traffic loads across the network. To enable a level of entropy for load balancing on VM to VM traffic, ExtremeXOS derives the source UDP port in the encapsulated frame from the tenant packets. Transit nodes need to be configured to use appropriate mechanism to exploit the entropy.
