Site-Level Configuration Options

This section describes options available for configuring a site.

Go to Configuration > Sites, then select Add to configure a new site, or select an existing site in the Sites List. The Site dashboard opens.

Choose from the following actions based on your current workflow:

  • If you selected Add from the Sites List and are in the process of configuring a new site, see Add a Site for detailed instructions. After you create and save the new site, continue reading the information in this section.

  • If you selected an existing site in the Sites List and are in the process of configuring or modifying the site, continue reading the information in this section.

Choose from the following actions:

Device Groups This tab is active by default when you access this GUI to create, configure, or edit a site. Select Add to create groups of APs that are of the same model and share common configuration characteristics. See Device Groups for detailed instructions.
Floor PlansSelect this tab to configure a floor plan where you can add APs to a floor to visualize their locations relative to one another and plan optimal installation of devices to maximize performance. You can use information about APs and clients on a floor plan for troubleshooting. See Floor Plans for further detail.
LocationSelect this tab to provide information that will enable the display your site location on a physical map visible on the Sites workbench. See Site Location.
Access PointsSelect this tab to view a list of all configured APs at the selected site. From here, you can view general information about the APs and take action, or adjust radio settings, on any number of APs at the site. You can also view AFC-related information and statistics and take site-level actions across all APs. See:
SwitchesSelect this tab to configure direct access from a switch to an external RADIUS server within the site configuration. You can associate up to two RADIUS servers for accounting and two RADIUS servers for authentication. See Site-Level RADIUS Configuration for Switches.
Allow List/Deny ListSelect this tab to configure access control for the site devices. See Site Allow List/Deny List.
AdvancedSelect this tab to configure advanced settings (SNMP, adoption, AFC) to apply to devices at the site. See Advanced Tab for further detail.
