The stacking port selection option, which allows you to choose between native and alternate ports, is enabled by default for X440-G2 10G switch models. For more information, see Selecting Native and Alternate Stacking Ports.

Alternate stacking support is available on all X440-G2 10-gigabit models (10GE4), even when the 10G ports are operating at 1G speed. 10G upgrade licensing is not required to enable stacking on the designated stack ports.
