You must perform a full configuration update for each device on which you want to
enable netdump.
If an AP or switch becomes non-responsive, you can enable it to automatically save a
core dump file to a TFTP server on the network the next time it boots. You can
provide this file to Support to assist in diagnosing the issue. To configure a
device to save a core dump file to a TFTP server, complete the following steps:

Select the check box to enable
Netdump.

Enter the IP address of the TFTP server to where you want the device to send
the core file.

Name the netdump file.

Enter the VLAN of the interface
the device will use to send the netdump file to the TFTP server.

Enter the native VLAN of the device.

Select the check box to have the device bootloader use DHCP to obtain an IP
address at startup.

Select the check box to expand this section.

Enter the required network settings that the bootloader must use to connect to
the network.

Enter the IP address of the reporting device.

Enter the netmask for the reporting device.
-
Enter the IP address of the TFTP server.
-
Select Save.

To update the device immediately, select Update
Now.

Select the type of update.
-
Select Save as Defaults.

Select Perform Update.
The device will send a core dump file to the TFTP server the next time it
reboots.
