Sites - Main Screen

The ExtremeLocation Essentials Sites screen displays a view of all the sites configured for this ExtremeLocation Essentials account.

Note

If client data is deleted in ExtremeCloud IQ, all configured, cached, Live, and Historical data related to that client is also deleted from ExtremeLocation Essentials.

If Reset VIQ is selected in ExtremeCloud IQ, all configured data for locations, devices, and clients is cleared from ExtremeLocation Essentials. In addition, all cached, Live, and Historical data related to that VIQ is cleared from ExtremeLocation Essentials.
To view the ExtremeLocation Essentials Sites screen:
  1. Select Sites from the main menu by selecting the icon.

    Sites Screen

    A map of all configured sites for this ExtremeLocation Essentials account displays. Each configured site is marked with a colored marker. The color of the marker indicates if the site is seeing an increase or decrease in visits. A RED marker indicates a drop in the number of visits, and a GREEN marker indicates an increase in the number of visits.

    The size of the icon indicates increase or decrease in total visits to the site when compared to the previous day. The icon size changes for every 20 percent (%) change in the number of visits to the site, when compared to the previous day. Select a site's marker to display a dialog with the latest statistics for the selected site.

    Site Information

    Use the Floors link to directly view the default floor map for this site. Similarly, use the Dashboard link to view the default dashboard for this site.

    The Site Information dialog displays the following site trends:

    Today's Visits
    Displays the total number of visits to the site up to the time displayed in this field. This information is for the current day (today).
    Yesterday's Visits
    Displays the total number of visits to the site during the previous day up to the time displayed in this field. This time is the same time that displays for Today's Visit data.
    Yesterday's Total Visits
    Displays the total number of visits to the site for the entire previous day.
    Trend
    The trend icon is an arrow displayed next to the data that provides a visual indication of the visit trends. A GREEN upward-pointing arrow indicates an increase in visits. A RED downward-pointing arrow indicates a decrease in visits. The percentage (%) change in value is also displayed in the appropriate color.
  2. Select the drop-down list on the top left of the Sites screen to display a list of sites managed by this ExtremeLocation Essentials account. Select a Site or Site Group from the list.

    The drop-down list displays a list of the Site Groups (indicated by icon) followed by the list of individual sites (indicated by icon) for this ExtremeLocation Essentials account.

    When a Site Group is selected, the Sites screen zooms to an appropriate zoom level to show all the sites in the group in the same screen.

    When a site is selected, the Sites screen shows the icon for the selected site and hides all other sites for this ExtremeLocation Essentials account.

  3. Use the buttons to the left of the screen to manually zoom in or out in the ExtremeLocation Essentials Sites screen.
  4. Select the site of interest.
    The Site Information dialog opens.

    From the dialog, select one of the following links:
    • Floors - Displays the floor maps for this site. See Device View.
    • Dashboard - Displays the default dashboard for this site. See Dashboard.
