Zone Tracking

The Zone Tracking feature enables you to detect devices, visitors, and staff within a zone. A zone is an area covered by an AP or a sensor. Use this feature to locate and track assets, view which zones are popular or unpopular, and track how much time a visitor or staff member spends in the zone. Both live and historical data can be collected.

The Zone Tracking feature provides a large amount of visitor data that can identify trends. Use this information to proactively enhance customer experience and tweak product placements to increase visitor engagement.

Note

A best practice is to use dedicated sensors for zone tracking in a high capacity or high density deployment.

The Zone Tracking feature requires you to upload a floor map of the area of interest and then create zones on the floor map that meet your requirements.
