    Note

    Note

You can use the color selectors or hexadecimal to create a custom region color.

  8. Select a region category from the Category drop down menu (OPTIONAL).
For more information about how to manage and use Categories, see Categories.
  9. Move your cursor over the Floor Map to show the drawing pen tool.
    1. Click once on the floor map at the starting point where you want to start drawing a region polygon.
    2. Move your cursor to the next point on the floor map that you want the region polygon to cover. A line follows your cursor.
    3. Click to draw a line between the two points. Move your cursor to the next point you require to continue building a region polygon.
    4. Use point to point to point clicks to continue to draw lines to build a region polygon in the shape you require to cover a region on the floor map.
    5. Click at the start point to complete the final line, and the region polygon color changes from solid to opaque to indicate completion. Your last line to complete a region polygon must return to the start point to complete the region polygon drawing.

    Note

    Note

Single point undo is not available while drawing the region polygon. While drawing a region on the floor map a solid color polygon follows your cursor. If you make a mistake you can double-click to stop active drawing, then click Reset to erase the incorrectly drawn region polygon, and also clear the new region fields. You can now restart the new region steps and draw again. The best practice is to keep region drawn areas separated and to not overlap region polygons.
  10. Select Save.

The Region View is shown on the floor map with the user-defined region colors and names displayed. You can use the REGION toggle to display or hide the regions, or the OPACITY slider to increase or decrease region color transparency. You can edit or delete regions from the Region Preferences area ACTIONS column.
