Sites are locations that are monitored using the ExtremeLocation Essentials system. A site is a physical area such as a store, a hotel, or a hospital. It can also be a venue such as a shopping mall or an airport for which you capture locationing data. A typical site is made up of one or more floors which are further divided into logical areas or categories. Categories (zones) are used to logically separate the floor into distinct areas that enable ease of locationing and visitor tracking.
