Configure Policy Settings

The network policy settings that you configure depend on your requirements. For example, determine which default routing instance to use for NTP, DNS, Syslog, and SNMP for a switch.

This task is part of the network policy configuration workflow. Use this task to configure policy settings.

  1. Go to Configure > Network Policies
  2. Select an existing network policy, and then select Edit, or select Add to create a new policy.
  3. Configure the Policy Settings.
    1. Configure DNS Server Policy Settings. (Switches only)
    2. Configure NTP Server Policy Settings. (Switches only)
    3. Configure SNMP Server Policy Settings. (Switches only)
    4. Configure Syslog Server Policy Settings. (Switches only)
    5. Configure Device Credentials Policy Settings.
    6. Configure the Device Time Zone.
    7. Configure HIVE Policy Settings.
    8. Configure Management and Native VLAN Policy Settings.
    9. Configure IP Tracking Policy Settings.
    10. Configure LLDP/CDP Policy Settings. (Switches only)

    Note

    To configure LLDP port configurations on SR22XX, 23XX, VOSS, and EXOS devices, go to the device template or device configuration page. Configuring LLDP from this page can affect APs, XR, and 20XX/21XX switches, along with certain EXOS, VOSS, SR22XX, and 23XX Global LLDP parameters.
  4. Configure the Management Settings.
    1. Configure Management Options.
    2. Configure Traffic Filters Policy Settings.
    3. Configure MGT IP Filter Policy Settings.
  5. Select SAVE.
  6. Select Policy, and then select NEXT.
