Device List Columns

The Device List Columns table lists and describes the available columns for the device list views, as well actions that users can take. For more information about the available views, see Device List Views.

Column HeadingDescription
AFC StatusIndicates the AFC status of the AP. Status options include:
  • Available
  • Pending
  • Grace Period
Note: AFC Status is not related to the AP's current connection status. If an AP is no longer connected, the AFC Status remains unchanged until the AP expiration time is reached. When the expiration time is reached, the AFC Status changes to ‘Grace Period‘.
Application StatusThe application status of the device.
Branch IDThe identifier used to allocate specific subnetworks to XR routers.
ChannelThe operating channel of the device.
ClientsThe number of clients connected to this device.
Cloud Config GroupsIdentifies all associated cloud config groups for this device.
CoPilotIdentifies whether the CoPilot license is used by ExtremeCloud IQ. Valid values are:
  • None—This indicates one of the following conditions:
    • CoPilot is disabled.
    • Device is not compatible.
    • Device is unmanaged.
    • Customer intentionally revoked CoPilot license.
  • CoPilot Active—CoPilot license is active for the device.
  • Grace Period—CoPilot license has expired and the grace period applies.
  • Unlicensed—CoPilot license has expired.
  • Trial—Device is part of a trial VIQ.
CountryThe device country location code.
Country CodeThe device country location code.
Default GatewayThe management interface default gateway of the managed device.
DescriptionFree form text field available for use on IQ Engine-based devices.
Device FunctionThe product family of the device.
Device LicenseIdentifies the ExtremeCloud IQ license type that is used to manage the device. Valid values are:
  • Pilot—ExtremeCloud IQ Pilot license
  • Navigator—ExtremeCloud IQ Navigator license
  • Legacy—Legacy entitlement key
  • Not Required—Ping Only device reported by ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, APs reported by ExtremeCloud IQ Controller, Digital Twin (DT), Simulated, or Unmanaged by user
  • Trial—Trial VIQ
Device ModeIdentifies the IQ Engine AP role in a wireless mesh.
Eth0 LLDP Port #The switch port name that the AP is connected to via ETH0.
Eth0 LLDP Sys-IDThe switch port MAC address that the AP is connected to via ETH0.
Eth0 LLDP Sys-NameThe switch host name that the AP is connected to via ETH0.
Eth1 LLDP Port #The switch port name that the AP is connected to via ETH1.
Eth1 LLDP Sys-IDThe switch port MAC address that the AP is connected to via ETH1.
Eth1 LLDP Sys-NameThe switch host name that the AP is connected to via ETH1.
ExpireThe expiration of the AFC checkin. The AFC requires checkin every 24 hours.
Feature License

Identifies the licensed features the device is using. Valid values are: None, MacSec, Premier.

MACsec features require a MACsec license. Feature requirements for a Premier license are platform- and network operating system-specific. For details and ordering information, see the switch datasheet(s).

Geo LocationIndicates if the AP can function within the region it is connected to.
Note: Geo Location is not related to the AP's current connection status. If an AP is no longer connected, the Geo Location remains unchanged until the AP expiration time is reached. When the expiration time is reached, the Geo Location changes to ‘Not Available‘.
Host NameThe host name of the device. Select the host name to open the Device Details panel, which provides monitoring and configuration resources for managing this device. This column is sortable.
IoT0 EUI-64A unique identifier assigned to a device in a Thread network.
IoT0 Extended MACA unique identifier assigned to a device in a Thread network.
IoT0 ProfileThe name of the profile assigned to the IoT0 wireless interface.
IPv6The IPv6 address of the client device.
IQAgentFor switches, the IQ Agent version. IQ Agent enables communication between switches and ExtremeCloud IQ.
Last Seen OnThe date and time the device was last connected to ExtremeCloud IQ.
LocationThe location of the device in your network. To assign or change the location, choose one of the following methods:
  • Select the corresponding checkbox for a device, and then select Actions > Assign Location.
  • Select the name in the Location column. In the dialog box under Global View, select a new location and then select Assign.
Note: For devices managed by ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine the location is read-only. You can assign the location in ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine.
MACThe MAC address of the device.
MakeExtreme Networks: For example, Fabric Engine, Switch Engine, EXOS, VOSS, WiNG. External: For example CISCO.
ManagedIndicates whether the device is currently managed.
Managed ByIdentifies which product manages the device, as follows:
  • ExtremeCloud IQ
  • ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine (Site Engine also manages third-party devices)
  • ExtremeCloud IQ Controller
  • ExtremeWireless WiNG

When devices are managed locally, this column is empty.

MGT IP AddressThe IP address of the device.
MGT VLANThe management VLAN for this device.
ModelThe hardware model of the device. The hardware model and serial number appear on a label on the underside of the chassis.
Network PolicyThe network policy assigned to this device. If you have not assigned a network policy, you can do so now. Select the check box for the device, and then select Actions > Assign Network Policy.
Note: This option is not available for locally managed devices.
OSThe operating system currently running on the device. For example, FABRIC, WiNG, CLOUD-IQ ENGINE.
OS VersionThe version that is currently running on the device.
PowerThe requested power of the device.
Power ModeThe power mode of the device. The AP5050 is always in Standard Power (SP).
Public IP AddressFor devices managed using an RFC 1918 private address range behind a NAT device, this is the public IP address of the NAT device.
RADIUS ServerIndicates whether the managed device is acting as a RADIUS server. IQ Engine only.
Req. ChannelThe AFC requested channel.
Req. PowerThe AFC requested power.
Serial #The serial number of the device.
Service TagAsset identifiation. Managed Dell devices only.
SiteThe site assigned to the managed device.
Stack RoleThe role (primary, secondary, or member) of a switch in a stack.
Stack UnitThe unit number of a switch in a stack.
StatusStatus icons indicate a device's connection status and provide other important device indications. Hover over an icon to view its function or other related information. For details about each icon's purpose, see Device Status Icons.
Note: The Configured at Device Level (Configured at Device Level) icon indicates that a switch or AP uses device-level configuration settings instead of the device template (network policy) configuration. To revert to the device template configuration, select the check box associated with the device, then from the Actions menu, choose Revert Device to Template Defaults.
TemplateThe template assigned to the device.
Updated OnThe last time the configuration on this device was updated. If an update was not successful, ExtremeCloud IQ displays a Device Update Failed error message that includes configuration, firmware, certificate, and signature update issues, reboot timeouts, and error information specific to devices configured using Auto Provisioning. Hover over the error message to see details. To view error message descriptions listed by device and timestamp, select the error message link.
UptimeThe amount of time since the device last rebooted and re-connected.
VPN ServiceThe Layer 3 VPN assigned to the policy. XR routers only.
WAN IP AddressThe WAN IP address obtained by the device. XR routers only.
WiFi RadioIndicates which WiFi radio is enabled for the AP.
WiFi0 ChannelThe channel currently used by the WiFi0 radio. Refer to the data sheet for your device and your software-defined radio (SDR) configuration to determine the band on which the WiFi0 radio is operating.
WiFi0PowerThe power level of the WiFi0 radio.
WiFi1 ChannelThe channel currently used by the WiFi1 radio. Refer to the data sheet for your device and your software-defined radio (SDR) configuration to determine the band on which the WiFi1 radio is operating.
WiFi1 PowerThe power level of the WiFi1 radio.
WiFi2 ChannelThe channel currently used by the WiFi2 radio. Refer to the data sheet for your device and your software-defined radio (SDR) configuration to determine the band on which the WiFi2 radio is operating.
WiFi2 PowerThe power level of the WiFi2 radio.
WiFi0 Radio ProfileThe radio profile assigned to the WiFi0 interface on an IQ Engine AP.
WiFi1 Radio ProfileThe radio profile assigned to the WiFi1 interface on an IQ Engine AP.
WiFi2 Radio ProfileThe radio profile assigned to the WiFi2 interface on an IQ Engine AP.
