Simple Ring Configuration Example

The following example shows how to set up a simple Extended Edge Switching ring configuration (see CB with Simple Ring Topology).

  1. Attach BPEs.
  2. On the CB, enable VPEX mode:

    After reboot, command prompt changes to show that you are in VPEX mode.
  3. Configure slot identifiers associated with the first-tier BPEs in cascades 1 and 2:

             port 1:10.

  4. Configure slot identifiers associated with the second-tier BPEs in cascades 1 and 2:
