When a port is added as VXLAN (virtual-network) network port, traffic from VXLAN tunnel (where it is terminated) is sent downstream to the tenants (hosts). If that port is not part of virtual network network-port, traffic arriving from the tunnel (if tunnel ends here), traffic is not sent downstream to tenants. This port designation determines which ports can receive traffic from VXLAN tunnels. However, traffic from the tenant (host) to the virtual network (where tunnel originates) flows regardless.
To add ports that can terminate tunnels carrying VXLAN or NVGRE encapsulated traffic, use the following command:
configure virtual-network add network ports [all | portlist]
To delete ports that can terminate tunnels carrying VXLAN or NVGRE encapsulated traffic, use the following command:
configure virtual-network delete network ports [all | portlist]
