Equal-cost Multi-path Routing (ECMP) Hashing Alternatives for IPv4/IPv6

You can dynamically choose between the existing ECMP hash method ("default") and the “custom” hash method. Within each of these two hash methods, several hash algorithm options are available to vary traffic distribution among multiple equal-cost IP gateways.

Note

Custom hashing method is not supported on the X440-G2 and X620 series switches.

To configure the hash method, use the following command:

configure iproute sharing hash-method custom {hash-algorithm [xor | crc-16 | crc-32 [lower | upper]]}
