enable vpex

Description

Enables VPEX mode for using VPEX Bridge Port Extenders.

Syntax Description

vpex	Specifies Virtual Port Extender (VPEX).

Default

N/A.

Usage Guidelines

This command enables VPEX mode and allows you to refer to ports in the slot:port notation in applicable commands. A reboot of the switch is required for the command to take effect. After rebooting, the CLI prompt changes to show that the switch is now slot 1 (for example):

Slot-1 VPEX X670G2-48x-4q.14 #

After enabling VPEX mode, to use the port extender, you need to configure the slot assignment for the port extender, using the command: configure vpex ports port_list slot slot_num

VPEX mode is not compatible with stacking mode. Only one of these modes can be enabled at a time.
