bmc lan ipaddr

Configure a static IP address for the BMC's ethernet interface when the ipsrc value is set as static.

Syntax

bmc lan ipaddr <ip-address>

Command Default

There is no default IP address configuration for the BMC's ethernet interface.

Parameters

ipaddr <ip-address>

Configures BMC's ethernet interface's IPv4 IP address.

Usage Guidelines

IPv6 addresses cannot be assigned.

It might take about 10 seconds to set the IP address and other configurations to the BMC's ethernet interface. This is a known behavior. The CLI will not return to the prompt until the command has completed execution.

If the same IP address is set, then it may take 30 seconds to complete this configuration activity.

Examples

The following example configures an IPv4 address to the BMC's ethernet interface.
