Connecting to a Stack with No
Primary
If an entire stack has no primary node because the stack has been rebooted in standby
only mode, you can log in to a node by using the failsafe account.
If a new node has been added to the stack since the
stack failsafe account was configured, logging in to that node requires
knowledge of the failsafe account information that is already configured into
that node's NVRAM.
If you do not know the failsafe account and you still want to
log in to the stack, you have to:
- Join the stack to another segment
that has a primary node to which the you have access.
- Manually restart the stack to clear the as-standby condition
if the reboot stack-topology as-standby command was previously used.
- Use the procedure described in Rescuing a Stack that has No Primary-Capable Node.
