Configure the Auto-sense Wait Interval Globally

Perform this task to configure the time, in seconds, for Auto-sense to wait for a Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) neighbor to be detected in the Auto-sense wait state before transitioning to the Auto-sense onboarding state.

Procedure

  1. Enter Global Configuration mode:

    enable

    configure terminal

  2. Configure the Auto-sense wait interval:

    auto-sense wait-interval <10-120>

  3. Verify the Auto-sense wait interval information:

    show auto-sense wait-interval

Examples

Configure the Auto-sense wait interval as 50 seconds:

Switch:1>enable
Switch:1#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Switch:1(config)#auto-sense wait-interval 50

Verify the Auto-sense wait-interval information:

Variable Definitions

Specifies the global Auto-sense wait interval, in seconds. The global configuration applies to all Auto-sense ports unless you configure a port specific wait-interval. The default value is 35.
