Notification Service
Notifications are categorized as alerts,
tasks, and events.
- Notifications sent from EFA are derived from
the syslog events received from the devices that EFA manages.
- Alerts are notifications that services in EFA
send for unexpected conditions. They include the following:
- Loss of switch
connectivity
- Failure to configure the Fabric, tenant, or
EPG on the device
- Failure to perform operations such as port
up or port down, set speeds, and breakout mode
- Firmware download
failure
- A device exiting maintenance
mode
- Tasks are user-driven operations or
timer-based tasks and consist of the following:
- Device registration
- Device update
- Device timer collection
completed
- Adding devices to fabric
- Fabric creation and deletion
- Fabric setting update
- Fabric configuration
- Tenant creation, update, or deletion
- EPG creation, update, or deletion
