Summit X430 Series Switch LEDs

The following table describes the meanings of the LEDs on Summit X430 switches.

Blinking green

Power-on self-test (POST) in progress.

Steady green

POST passed. Normal operation.

Blinking amber

System is disabled. POST failed or system overheated.

Off

No external power attached.

FAN

Steady green

Normal operation, fan is good.

Blinking amber

Fan failure. Switch will continue to operate unless it overheats.

Off

No power

PSU

(Internal power supply)

Steady green

Normal operation.

Off

No power is attached/Power failure.

Link is OK.

Blinking green

Port is transmitting packets.

Solid Amber (POE only)

POE delivering with Ethernet link OK.

Fast Blinking Amber (POE only) POE delivering and port is transmitting packets.

Link is not present, or port is disabled.
