Enable IPv4 Alternative Routes Globally

Before you begin

Change the VRF instance as required. For information about how to use EDM for a non-default VRF, see Select and Launch a VRF Context View.

About this task

Globally enable alternative routes so that you can subsequently enable it on interfaces.

Procedure

In the navigation tree, expand Configuration > IP.
Select IP.
Select the Globals tab.
Select AlternativeEnable.

If the AlternativeEnable parameter is disabled, all existing alternative routes are removed. After you enable the parameter, all alternative routes are re-added.
Select Apply.
