Configure Auto-sense Fabric Attach (FA) Authentication

About this task

Perform this procedure to configure FA authentication for ports that are operating in Auto-sense mode.

Procedure

Enter Global Configuration mode:

enable

configure terminal
Configure the FA authentication key:

auto-sense fa authentication-key WORD<0-32>
Enable FA message authentication:

auto-sense fa message-authentication

Example

Configuring FA message authentication globally:

Switch:1>enable
Switch:1#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Switch:1(config)#auto-sense fa message-authentication
