Enable BFD on an OSPFv2-enabled Interface

BFD sessions can be enabled on one or more OSPFv2-enabled interfaces.

About this task

This procedure is a prerequisite for Configure BFD for OSPFv2 Globally and Configure BFD for OSPFv2 Globally in a Non-default VRF Instance.

Procedure

  1. Access global configuration mode. 
    device# configure terminal
  2. Access interface configuration mode. 
    device(config)# interface ethernet 1/4
  3. Enable BFD on the interface. 
    device(config-if-eth-1/4)# ip ospf bfd
