VRRPv3 introduces the ability to suppress router advertisements (RAs).
Router advertisements are sent by the VRRP master device and contain the link-local virtual IP address and the virtual MAC address. For network security reasons, if you do not want the MAC addresses of interfaces to be viewed, you can disable RA messages. Disabling RA does not remove the auto-configured addresses being sent by VRRP updates, but the RA messages are dropped by the router interface.
