The WiNG 7, 802.11ax APs (AP5xx, AP4xx, and AP3xx) are capable of operating in the Distributed and Centralized mode. The Centralized mode of operation is ideally suited for dense localized deployments, while the Distributed mode supports scaled-out deployments. For a newly-manufactured, out-of-the-box AP the mode of operation is not specified.
