Configuring the maximum number of routes

If this command is not used, the maximum number of routes is 4294967295. This number does not appear in a running configuration.

Enter global configuration mode.

Specify a VRF instance (in this example, "myvrf") and enter VRF configuration mode.

device(config)# vrf myvrf
device(config-vrf-myvrf)# 
```
Enter the address-family unicast command, in this example for IPv4, and enter VRF address-family IPv4 unicast configuration mode.
```
device(config-vrf-myvrf)# address-family ipv4 unicast
 
```
Enter the max-route command and specify the maximum number of routes to be held in the routing table for this VRF instance, 3600 in this example. (The range is from 1 through 4294967295.)

device(vrf-myvrf-ipv4-unicast)# max-route 3600
```
