Password Encryption

1. Go to Configuration → Devices.
2. Select Password Encryption.

   The Password Encryption screen displays.

3. Select the Inline Password option.

   The inline password option moves the encryption key to the startup-config file. By default, the encryption key is not stored in the startup-config file.

4. Select the Password Encrypted option.

   The New Password field is enabled.

5. Enter the secret phrase in the New Password field. The system uses this phrase to encrypt passwords.
6. Click OK to save password encryption configuration.

   Click Reset to revert to the last saved configuration.
