Configures the BGP device to communicate with a neighbor through a specified interface.

- IPv4 address of the neighbor

- Peer group name configured by the
neighbor peer-group-name command.

- IP address of the update source.

- IPv6 address of the update source.

- Specifies an ethernet interface.

- Specifies a valid
slot number. For devices that do not support line cards, specify
0.

- Specifies a valid port number.

- Specifies a virtual Ethernet VLAN interface.

Usage Guidelines
Use the
no form of the command to restore the defaults.
Examples
The following example configures the device to communicate with a neighbor through the specified IPv4 address and Ethernet interface 3/2.

device(config-bgp-router)# neighbor 10.11.12.13 update-source ethernet 3/2
The following example configures the device to communicate with a neighbor through the
specified IPv6 address.
SLX (config)# router bgp
