vlan

Specifies a VLAN and enters VLAN configuration mode.

Syntax

vlan vlan_id
no vlan vlan_id

Command Default

No VLAN is configured.

Parameters

vlan_id
Specifies a VLAN ID. Range is from 1 through 4090.

Modes

Global configuration mode

Usage Guidelines

Use the no form of this command to delete a VLAN.

Examples

To configure VLAN 10: 

device# configure terminal
device(config)# vlan 10
device(config-vlan-10)#
