bmc factory reset

Resets the BMC configuration to the factory default settings.

Syntax

bmc factory reset

Parameters

reset: Resets the existing BMC configuration to its default configuration. Use y to reset the configuration. Use n to exit without changing the configuration.

Usage Guidelines

This CLI resets the BMC configurations to the factory settings including user accounts, LAN, and field replaceable unit (FRU) sensor settings.

Since the sensor data are reset, you must use the SLX-OS reload command to reboot the device for these changes to take effect.

Examples

The following examples resets the BMC configuration to its default settings. A reboot of the device is also shown.

SLX# bmc factory reset 
SLXOS needs to be restarted for normal operations, after bmc factory reset.
