MAC Security (MACsec) with Pre-shared Keys (PSK) authentication is supported natively the following platforms.
Platform | Ports |
---|---|
ExtremeSwitching 5320 | All ports of all models, except 5320-24T-4X-XT, and except stacking ports. |
ExtremeSwitching 5420 | All ports of all models except stacking ports. |
ExtremeSwitching 5520 | All ports, except 5520-VIM-4X and 5520-24X 10G ports |
ExtremeSwitching 5720 | All ports of all models except stacking ports. |
Extreme 7520-48YE-8CE | All front-panel ports. |
Note
The MACsec feature requires the installation of the MAC Security feature pack license.Note
When an LRM/MACsec adapter is connected to 5320 or 5720 switch, MACsec will be provided by the native switch port rather than by the adapter.Note
On 5420 and 5320 switches, when OnePolicy is enabled, the MACsec link may fail due to the unavailability of ACL resources. The only way to overcome this is to reduce the number of ACLs reserved by Policy by using the configure policy resource-profile default profile-modifier command.
