Operational Considerations

Keep in mind the following operational considerations when you use the Extreme-Dynamic-Client-Assignments Vendor Specific Attribute (VSA):

• Extreme-Dynamic-Client-Assignments takes precedence over FA-VLAN-ISID, EGRESS-VLAN-ID, EGRESS-VLAN-Name, and RAD_ATTR_TUNNEL_PRI_GROUP_ID.

• The RADIUS packet is limited to 4096 bytes, but can carry any VSA combination that does not exceed 4096 bytes. The Extreme-Dynamic-Client-Assignments VSA has a variable length and combinations can scale up to 94 VSAs in a packet. To reach 94 VSAs in a packet, each VSA should be about 40 bytes long.
• You cannot manually modify dynamic VLANs.

• You cannot use this VSA to dynamically create VLANs on a DvR Leaf node.

• The Extreme-Dynamic-Client-Assignments VSA does not support static configuration.

• As with all Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) enhancements, the Extreme-Dynamic-Client-Assignments VSA is not supported on the MultiLink Trunk (MLT) and Split MultiLink Trunk (SMLT) ports.
