If a VM has a VR onfigured for dynamic VLAN creation and if the VM is currently authenticated, the VR alone cannot be changed. This is because the dynamic VLAN already created in, say, VR1 cannot be dynamically moved to, say, VR2. Hence the VR can be changed only along with a change in the VLAN tag configuration.
Misconfiguration needs to be corrected. If you want the dynamic VLAN to move to another VR with the same VLAN tag, stop the traffic from the VM and clear the FDB entry (or wait till ageout) and when the VM is detected again, it will be placed in the VLAN the same VLAN tag in the changed VR, provided no other client is already configured for the same VLAN tag on a different VR. Another option is to change both the VLAN tag and the VR.
